constipated, bloatedIf you have ever seen the inside of the healthy colon (unless you are in the medical profession it’s unlikely), you would know that an indicator of colon health is an inside width of between 2 to 2 1/2 inches. An unhealthy colon will have a reduced width due to undigested waste lining the colon walls.

Due to the foods we eat our bodies can have a hard time digesting everything. The result is the colon can become clogged with waste material. Even if you have a good healthy diet you can still have minor problems with undigested faecal matter. As the colon becomes clogged with waste the opening of the colon begins to narrow.

So a healthy colon will have a nice wide opening and an unhealthy colon will have a restricted opening which hinders the flow of waste materials through your digestive tract. To determine whether you have a healthy colon or not the only way to do it is to examine your waste material.

I know it sounds really disgusting but it really is the only way to have any idea when it comes to diagnosing problems with a clogged up colon. There are other symptoms for sure but you can never guarantee 100% that these general symptoms are the result of an unhealthy colon. Continue Reading »

infrared saunaThe sauna experience seems like something luxurious to most people: How can they take time out of their day to just sit and relax? Or how can they afford to go somewhere just to sit around in some heat? This type of attitude towards any sort of sauna experience is normal, but what many people don’t realize is the positive effects that saunas have on the body. Especially infrared sauna spas, which not only are more accessible to the average American, but the word also conjures up a slightly different image from plain “sauna” or “spa”.

An infrared sauna spa is a more technologically advanced version of the traditional Finnish spa, which relies on a slight bit of humidity and a lot of steam. Infrared spas rely on infrared radiant heat, which is much like the heat from the sun. Infrared radiant heat is directed towards a surface (in this case, your body) and heats it up directly, not the air around it. So the heat in infrared spas is dry and easy to breathe, unlike the traditional saunas that most think of. On top of that, traditional saunas can get close to 200 degrees Fahrenheit — how many people can handle that type of heat? Because infrared heat is direct, it doesn’t need to reach the temperatures that traditional saunas reach, because the heat is projected right onto your skin. Continue Reading »

detox dietObesity is one of the most serious public health issues facing the United States. There are an unprecedented number of adults and juveniles in the country who are overweight. Despite the virtually consistent cautions about the risks of being fat, obesity rates continue to rise and with them, the rates of coronary disease and diabetes. Many of us eat unhealthy diets and most of us do not get nearly enough exercise.

Other than these lifestyle factors, poisonous buildup in the body can also lead to gains in weight. Poisons built up in the body might also be responsible for certain cancers, prolonged fatigue syndrome and sexual dysfunction.

Toxins enter our bodies in a selection of ways. Insecticides , antibiotics and hormones are common contaminants in our food supply. Highly acidic foods stored in plastic boxes can be subject to toxins from the container leaching into the contents; these chemicals are especially dangerous, since our bodies are not equipped to remove them. sauna suitsSauna suits are mainly designed to reduce body weight. The use of sauna suits causes perspiration.

While the idea of relaxing in a sauna is very nice you need to prepare yourself for this experience. One of the best ways to enjoy a sauna is make sure that you have all of the materials like hot towels and a warm bath robe where you can get to them at your leisure. Getting into a sauna is one way to make your body sweat out calories, fat and stored fuel reserves. The other way is by wearing sauna suits.

These sauna suits have been designed so that they can be worn by anyone who wants to have many of the benefits of the sauna without having to buy a sauna. The sauna suit is made of rubberized vinyl. Continue Reading »

detoxificationSo, you are looking for a colon flush? Well you have a whole range of options. A quick search on line will reveal many companies offering free trials of virtually every colon cleansing product under the sun. However, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to realise that there must be money being made somehow from the free trials. Well invariably you will find that a shipping and handling charge is applied so strictly they are not free.

That being said it’s probably the cheapest way to test a product. Some companies will be running true loss leader campaigns and others will make a small profit on the shipping and handling. Obviously that’s not where the real money is! Continue Reading »

two women in a saunaWith everyone increasingly looking towards new ways to get or stay healthy, it’s no surprised that infrared heat saunas are getting more and more popular. And it’s no mystery why - infrared head saunas have multiple benefits that can help almost anyone get to where they want to be health-wise.

Everyone knows about traditional saunas: They offer a fantastic relaxation experience, but they can be almost unbearably hot. What’s more is you obviously can’t get that experience at home, which is what more Americans are looking for these days. While the infrared sauna experience can be had at a gym or spa, there are also at-home infrared heat sauna models which you can get installed into your own home. What could be better than being able to get healthy and relax in the comfort of your own home at the same time?

Besides the convenience of being able to have a spa experience at home, there are also multiple health benefits. Traditional spas offer similar benefits, but staying in them for extended periods of time is almost impossible — the human body can only withstand but so much heat. The infrared radiant heat that these saunas emit is much more bearable to the body and the radiant heat is completely safe. With infrared heat saunas you can spend more time inside. The more time inside, the more it can help you. Continue Reading »

infrared saunaJust about everyone can benefit from sitting in a sauna, and with infrared sauna popularity on the rise everyone wants to do just that. Luckily enough, there are 2 and even 3 person infrared sauna models available for purchase so you don’t have to have the sauna experience all by yourself!

These 3 person infrared saunas are almost three times the size of the one person model, meaning that you and your two best friends can get a quality sauna experience together. It’s proven that a person is more likely to stay in a sauna longer if they are not alone. The longer you and the two people stay in the sauna, the more benefits from this amazing technological breakthrough you receive. Continue Reading »

indoor infrared saunaIn the past, nobody could have even imagined they could get a quality sauna experience in the solitude and comfort of their own home. But thanks to great advancements in technology, there are not only new types of saunas, but affordable ways to relax in a sauna right at home. These new saunas are infrared saunas, and home infrared saunas are the future of at home body care.

Infrared saunas are significantly different from the type of saunas that come to mind for most people. There is no steam, and they do not get uncontrollably hot. Infrared saunas utilize radiant heat to warm up surfaces and not the air — using no steam or humidity whatsoever. Since there is no humidity, infrared saunas are much more bearable for most people and it’s possible to stay in them for a little longer than the traditional type. Thanks to this, home infrared saunas are growing in popularity all the time.

Infrared saunas are easy to set up in your own home, though they are a little pricey. Expect a price anywhere from $1,000 dollars to $2,500 dollars for a good quality model — but often, the higher the price, the better the sauna. Home infrared saunas come in a variety of models based on the size, type of wood, and heating technology. While the type of wood is basically cosmetic, there are sizes that can fit more than one person, and different types of heating can get warm faster and just plain hotter — whichever style you get is up to you. infrared saunaThere is a cloud of mystery surrounding the topic of infrared saunas and weight loss — can infrared saunas really cause weight loss?

The truth is, it’s different for everybody. Each person reacts differently to saunas, so while some people can lose weight, other people will simply reap the other benefits of infrared saunas. It all depends on your body weight, how your body produces sweat, your normal heart rate, and your metabolism. You may be wondering why all of these things would have an effect on weight loss, but think about it: You’re not actually moving, but rather you’re in a hot environment and your heart rate is increasing, as is your blood circulation.

If your body is already in great shape, the best weight loss effect you’re probably going to get is keeping at your current weight through the greatly increased blood circulation you will experience. Just enjoy the atmosphere and the other effects you’re going to feel — they’re just as beneficial as losing weight. Continue Reading »

portable saunaSaunas have plenty of health benefits, but if you don”t have the money to build your own in your basement or if you tend to travel a lot, it can be a little difficult to enjoy them on a regular basis. That’’s where portable infrared saunas come in handy.

Benefits of a Portable Sauna

Just being able to take your sauna with you anywhere you go is a huge benefit of portable infrared saunas. This means that if you have to travel, whether for work or pleasure, there’’s no need to miss a single relaxing moment with your sauna. You can set it up in your hotel room or guest house quite easily.

Even in your own home, a portable sauna makes more sense than building a special room for one. First of all, if you are short on space, it’’s handy to be able to slide your sauna under the bed or slip it into a small space in the closet. These items don”t take up much space and yet, when you”re ready to enjoy a nice hot treatment, you can simply pop it out and set it up in any room in the house.

Most portable saunas are very easy to set up and also to pack away. This is an important benefit, since no one really bothers with things that take too long to assemble and disassemble. You”ll be far more likely to use your spa if it’’s easy to use and easy to store away again. Not to mention, there are some definite advantages to having an infrared sauna, as opposed to a more traditional steam sauna. Continue Reading »
