Best Infrared Sauna Heater Uses Concave Ceramic Elements

far infrared heaterAn infrared sauna heater operates at a lower temperature than an electric stove found in conventional hot air sauna systems. The best heater elements use ceramic emitters. Concave, ceramic heating elements have several advantages over rod-shaped elements (as found in the kitchen oven). A ceramic infra-red system gives more bang for the buck as 96% of the energy output is emitted as infrared waves, whereas rod-style elements have at best an efficiency ratio of only 50%.

Another advantage of ceramic vs. rod-shaped infrared heaters is the mass of the ceramic element. The physical dimension of the ceramic elements makes them better for heat storage which results in a system that gives off consistent, steady, radiating heat. The lower surface temperatures of these far infrared sauna systems produce radiation at a higher wavelength which results in better skin penetration and increased sweat production.

Far infrared heaters are standard equipment that comes with a number of pre-built modular saunas. Modular systems allow anyone to build an indoor or outdoor family sauna by following the simple assembly instructions that come with these kits. Depending on the size of the room, you may need several of these ceramic heating elements to effectively warm everybody sitting on the benches. A typical 4-person home sauna system is best heated with six of these far infra-red elements.

Far infrared light has numerous health benefits. Home saunas using infra-red heaters are known to produce 2 to 3 times the amount of sweating possible in conventional saunas. These systems are also best in detoxifying the body of harmful substances and the soothing heat relieves aches and pains. What more could you want in a family sauna? Get the best and go with ceramic elements.

  2. If that is the case then that it can actually produce 2 to 3 times as much sweat compared to conventional saunas, I would prefer to use such. I would really need to loose weight as well as detoxify myself.

  3. As the step of winter comes closer and closer, the discount north face jackets are in more and more demands.
